After a tense loss to M4LIK in the ESL UK & I Skirmish Qualifier Final Tenstar Valorant have managed to qualify as second seed for the upcoming ESL tournament.
An unbeaten run of five games sadly came to a close after a nail-biting overtime loss for Tenstar. Despite this, they enter the tournament alongside M4LIK, AREA, and LDN UTD – with Tenstar being placed into Group B.
A second qualifier means Duck Gaming, Rix.GG Thunder, Funee Monkee and The Goose House also qualify with Duck Gaming taking first seed due to Rix.GG forfeiting the final.
The tournament, which is hosted by ESL and powered by Intel pits the best of the UK and Ireland VALORANT teams together through a group stage, playoffs, and eventual final. All of this will be broadcast on Twitch to allow a thrilling look into the UK and Irelands finest VALORANT talent.
Group A has underdogs Duck Gaming and Funee Monkee face off against UK giants LDN UTD and newly emerging team M4LIK.
Group B sees Rix.GG, AREA, The Goose House, and TENSTAR - with Rix.GG and second-ranked UK team TENSTAR favourites to top the group.
The first game of the tournament will be Funee Monkee vs M4LIK in Group A on June 7th at 19:00 BST with TENSTAR vs The Goose House at 21:00 BST the same day.
Speaking on the aspirations surrounding the first game TENSTAR General Manager, Matt Loftus said:
“I am looking forward to seeing our VALORANT roster in their first professional tournament under our organisation. I have nothing but praise for the team and truly believe we have the capability to go all the way.”
