TENSTAR VALORANT Announce roster change for 2022 season

by Dominic Widdop | November 15, 2021

TENSTAR announce that as of today Russel 'Russ' Mendes has been removed from the TENSTAR VALORANT active roster.

In a review period for the premier organisation, TENSTAR came to the decision that it would be mutually beneficial for both the club and Russ if they were to part ways after reviewing roster options ahead of the EMEA VCT 2022.

Russ joined the organisation after TENSTAR signed 'Tarren Mill' in May 2021 alongside Callum 'Kray' Knight, Jack 'Br0die' Emmott, and Tramaine 'Stanley' Stanley.

This roster, with the addition of Niko 'Polvi' Polvinen went on to achieve impressive VCT runs, a Top 4 Redbull Homeground finish, a UK & I Skirmish title and an LVP Final among other achievements.

Russ is free to seek opportunities and other playing options outside of TENSTAR.

On the removal of Russ TENSTAR CEO Tom Roderick said:

"We thank Russ for all of his hard work through our launch in 2021 and for our successes.

Our main thoughts now are to freshen things up for next year, whilst maintaining a core of stability and I believe we have that. We have clear goals for 2022, and that is for TENSTAR to be at a Masters, and we are all committed to that."

TENSTAR would like to thank Russ for his part in the organisation's 2021 success and wish him the best in his future endeavours.
