In a meta twist, we today Get to know - me. For those who do not know I am the current Digital Manager for TENSTAR! So, here is a little about myself.
What made you choose to work at TENSTAR?
I came to TENSTAR through its partner organisation Adamo Gaming. I saw TENSTAR as an exciting opportunity to work with some incredibly talented people to create an inclusive, and competitive esports club. The vision of management like Matt and Tom gave me the motivation to put my all into TENSTAR.
What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of my job has to be interacting with so many members of the team on a daily basis. From players to staff to coaches and outside resources no day is the same and there is always something new and visionary cooking in the background.
If you could bring an item to a desert island, what would it be?
It would have to be a solar-powered mp3 player with the entire ‘Ricky Gervais Show’ and all the XFM shows loaded onto it. I’ve listened to them to sleep for years now, and nothing would calm me more as I starved to death.
Favourite song?
Gorgeous by Kanye West – he’s my favourite artist of all time and that song is just p e r f e c t
Other than gaming – tell us about a passion/hobby you have
Reading! Mostly horror fiction. I am a huge Lovecraft and King nerd and often immerse myself in similar authors stories. Anything even slightly macabre and I’m invested. Most recently I've been taking up writing film reviews again also - stay tuned.

I was fortunate enough (or otherwise) to appear in a viral TikTok prank that gained over 20 million views across all postings and made me £3 richer.
What is your highlight of 2021 so far?
2021 has been one of the best years for me in a while so highlights are fruitful. Some highlights of those highlights include a trip back to Cornwall's gem Falmouth, as well as being a part of TENSTAR's incredible journey so far.
What is your favourite game? Why?
Alan Wake. Forget the gameplay (which I do actually enjoy) the King-inspired mystery this game's narrative spins is so rich in detail and lore I have played through this game at least 10 times. Anyone who is a fan of mystery, macabre, or The Twilight Zone - please try this. Control is great also and based in the same universe.
If you had one piece of advice for someone wanting to enter esports what would it be?
Take risks, take chances. Reach out and diversify your portfolio. Learn the market and shape your skills around it. Best of luck!
