TENSTAR welcomes analyst Aqib 'Akki' Ali to their main VALORANT roster ahead of the 2022 season.

INTRODUCING AKKI-

Why did you decide to join TENSTAR?

After finishing my studies in the summer, I began to have a lot more spare time where I gained interest in the analytical aspects of VALORANT. TENSTAR then gave me the opportunity to pursue this interest by offering me a role as an analyst for their VALORANT team.

What are your hopes for 2022?

Our aim for the upcoming qualifier is to come top two and make it to the VCT EMEA Stage 1 Challengers. Looking past this qualifier we want to secure ourselves as a top 5 team in EU and make our first Masters event.

Who are the strongest teams in VCT qualifiers?

There are a lot of strong teams in the event, but I wouldn’t say that we are afraid of any of them. I’m confident in the team’s ability to beat everyone in the event. I think the two strongest teams we may face are G2 and Guild who have made some good changes over the break.

How do you feel the new signings will impact the team?

Both XMS and Doma bring a lot of experience to a relatively inexperienced team. They’re also both consistent players who provide a lot of firepowers and have the ability to win rounds purely on individual skill.

What are TENSTAR’s biggest strengths?

Since joining the team one of the biggest strengths I’ve noticed is the team’s communication and how well we are able to adapt and make adjustments mid-game.

What can you bring to the team?

I think one of the main things I bring to the team is just a different perspective on how we are playing and identifying our strengths and weaknesses and how we can both play to our strengths and improve on these weaknesses.
